Specialists of the Operations Department of RENOVA S.U.R.L. began the installation of a photovoltaic solar system at the headquarters of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey, which will guarantee the energy backup of the institution, based on the use of renewable sources. The equipment has a power of 12 kw, consisting of 24 solar panels of 545 watts, two hybrid inverters of 6 kw/h and 48V each, as well as 4 banks of 16 batteries of 12V-130A. This system will allow substantial savings in the entity’s expenses for electricity consumption and will have a positive environmental impact, as it will prevent the emission of more than 12 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per year and approximately 5 tons of oil will no longer be burned annually.

Four 100-watt solar lights were also installed for the exterior lighting of the building.
