Once again our team is providing services in a science and technology entity. This time at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), a scientific institution located in the municipality of San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque province, whose mission is to generate and transfer updated knowledge, integral technologies and new products of biotechnology, plant science and sustainable systems, to efficiently increase agri-food production.
Two photovoltaic systems were installed for energy backup of 1.5 kWh and 6 kWh respectively. The first will provide energy to a growth room for pineapple, coffee and potato vitroplants, which is part of the results of the international Biofocus project, and the second system will protect the vitroplant growth room and bacterial strainarium with which the company produces some of its biostimulants and potato germplasm bank.
The joint work of RENOVA S.U.R.L. and INCA is evidence of the necessary link between science and renewable energies for the achievement of sustainable development.
