The XII edition of Marketing and Communication in Business Management, MERCOGEST 2023 took place at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center, in the city of Camagüey. This event, sponsored by the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS), the Chamber of Commerce and the Directorate of Local Development of the Provincial Government of People’s Power, in collaboration with the Department of Social Communication and Journalism of the University of Camagüey “Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz”, the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) and the Union of Cuban Informatics (UIC) in the province, aimed at promoting the exchange of knowledge, good practices and experiences in business communication and marketing in the process of improving the Cuban business system with the use of new digital technologies.
A keynote lecture on opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in business communication, delivered by DrC Julio Madera Quintana, Professor and First Vice Rector of the University of Camagüey, marked the beginning of the meeting, followed by panels and presentations of papers in which the importance of business communication and marketing in the current context characterized by the use of digital technologies and social networks was evidenced.
