Renewable energies and soil conservation.

Soil Conservation Day is celebrated every July 7, in memory of Dr. Hugh Hammond Bennet, American scientist and pioneer of soil conservation, on which our food and life depend.
Energy production from non-renewable sources has had a negative impact on soil quality due to the burning of fossil fuels, the exploitation of oilfields and the generation of highly polluting waste.
On the other hand, the use of renewable sources has less invasive effects on this important ecosystem. They do not generate greenhouse gases that cause acid rain and other soil degrading phenomena, nor do they generate waste. Moreover, they are being increasingly used in water pumping and other agricultural processes that contribute to soil improvement.
To use renewable energies is to contribute to soil preservation.
