Empresa de Construcción y Montaje No.2, a pioneer in the use of renewable energies within the MICONS entities in Camagüey, already has a solar photovoltaic system installed by the specialists of RENOVA S.U.R.L.. The equipment has a power of 6.48 kw, consisting of 12 solar panels of 540 watts, a hybrid inverter of 6 kw/h and 48V, as well as 4 banks of 12V-120A batteries. This system will allow substantial savings in the entity’s expenses for electric energy consumption and a positive environmental impact, as it will avoid the emission of 6,156 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per year and 2.66 tons of oil will no longer be burned annually.
The use of renewable energy sources is increasingly necessary for our country. Not only because of the economic benefits they bring in the medium and long term, but also because of the significant environmental impacts they bring to our archipelago, which is strongly threatened by the effects of climate change.
