Guáimaro, Camagüey. – A resident of Guáimaro has become a pioneer by installing the first photovoltaic system with storage in an apartment within a multi-family building in the municipality.
The system, composed of solar panels, a Growatt 3kW inverter, and a Felicity ESS 10kWh lithium battery, allows the household to generate its own electricity and store it for use at night or during blackouts.
The key is the 10kWh battery, which ensures the refrigerator, lights, and essential appliances run 24 hours a day, regardless of the national power grid service.
“It’s a real solution to power outages and long-term savings,” explained the installer. This project, unique in the municipality, demonstrates that solar energy is also viable in dense urban areas and sets a precedent in Camagüey toward energy self-sufficiency.
